Starting with the academic year 2019/20 the Chair of Mining Engineering offers two new majors within their MA study program Mining and Tunneling.

1) " Global Resources, Earth and Technology"

is a Dual Degree with the Colorado School of Mines ( www.mines.edu) in an interdisciplinary field of research that combines aspects of mineral resources engineering, the circular economy and sustainable development.

2) " Geomatics for Mineral Resources Management".

is an interdisciplinary field of research that combines aspects of surveying, sensor technology with data processing, geoinformatics and geomodelling. The main focus is on the regulation and control of the interplay between resource extraction and its environmental impact.
